About Us
Barking Green is a new online music label owned and managed by Peter Stretton and George Taylor. Peter has been running Barking Green Music Publishing since 1992, and George has worked for a decade as a music composer for television and the advertising and film industries. We're set up in a corner of rural Shropshire, so our business is exclusively web-based.

The music output from Barking Green is eclectic; covering a range of styles including electronic, ambient electronica, alt rock, acoustic - eccentric! Our only selection criteria is 1) it's great, and 2) it's been generally overlooked by the mainstream music industry.

We plan to gradually roll out a modest number of new releases from our artist rosta. Our first releases - from Hans-Joachim Roedelius, Tim Story and Noh1 - fall generally in to the 'ambient electronic' genre. Then we're hoping to entice you with some more folk-inflected material! If you'd like your material to be considered, please contact us by email in the first instance. (see our 'contact us' header). We'll be happy to listen to any CDs you want to send us, or mp3 clips - but keep the files small!
